Born before the Internet existed, I have been immersed in it since its beginnings. I build systems out of ordinary or trivial elements and integrate them into oversized, sometimes absurd apparatuses, occasionally in the form of startup fiction.
I have always felt both drawn to and a little frightened by the Internet, algorithms, and machines.
My practice sits between the studio, the street, and the Internet: installations in continuous development, live broadcast, public participation.
I start from a simple, almost banal element, a plaster cast, a ghost of everyday packaging, and I build around it a system so organized and proliferating that it becomes disproportionate.
